Why

Fine Tuned?

The name “Fine Tuned” holds special meaning for Erin—a classically trained violinist and a former television news reporter and anchor—and applies equally to this work. We fine tune our strategies and execute with precision to achieve maximum impact.

About Erin

Erin Holt is a veteran communications and media professional in Nashville. Her nearly two-decade long career has spanned television news reporting in Nebraska and Music City, government and public affairs, ad agency PR, and education. She has envisioned and managed national PR campaigns, written speeches for former Governor Bill Haslam and ECD Commissioners Bill Hagerty and Randy Boyd, spear-headed local advocacy campaigns, managed video productions, produced dozens of successful events, written impactful annual reports, and many things in between. If there’s creativity involved, Erin wants a front seat.

Most recently, Erin served as the Communications Director at KIPP Nashville Public Schools, where she helped shape, define, and execute a vision for integrated marketing and communications. During her seven years at KIPP Nashville, Erin’s strategic leadership helped KIPP more than double its size – growing from 4 schools to 10 schools – by harnessing storytelling through parent and student voices. Her expertise has been recognized nationally by the Charter School Growth Fund and the KIPP Foundation.

Erin loves to write and tell stories and connect with people. She’s never met a stranger. You’ll always find her with a notebook and pen, because everyone’s got a story to tell, and you can never be too prepared.

Erin attended Vanderbilt University where she majored in Communications and minored in English. In her spare time, Erin plays violin with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, cheers on the Vanderbilt Commodores, and spends time with her family, including her husband Ryan and two sons, Walker and Henry. Erin is a dual Swiss-American citizen, having been born in Zürich, and speaks fluent German.

Ask her about that time she reported on missing goats in Nebraska, or the time she performed a violin concerto with an orchestra.

What People Are Saying

“Erin has elevated my career and quite frankly changed the lives of my students and me. Because of her work, I went from being in a pool of 2,000 applicants to being named a 2024 Top 10 Finalist for Grammy Music Educator of the Year Award. Erin's tireless effort has assisted my choir program in receiving recognition throughout the KIPP network, the Nashville community, and beyond. This year, we have received a record-breaking number of performance opportunities. Receiving this exposure would not be possible without Erin!”

This has exposed us to a number of marketing professionals.  I can unreservedly say that Erin is one of the very best marketing professionals and storytellers with whom we have worked.”

“Fine Tuned Communications has a unique way of telling a story that truly pulls at the heart strings every time, and if I had to pinpoint the ingredients in the magic sauce it would be the fact that she goes beyond surface level relationship building and invests deeply in getting to know the person or the story.”
